Breathe in, breathe out

I'm afraid I'll jinx myself, but I've just finished my fourth mile. I've been trying to start exercising regularly for a few reasons: (1) to keep up with my marathon/triathalon-running sister, (2) to push back the flab that's building at the waistband, & (3) to build better habits when the flab really starts to ebb in the future. Some might say "Blasphemy!" at my weight gaining, but you gotta remember I'm getting cooked meals everyday since I'm back home. I've been running every other day to build into everyday and then maybe pushing the distance, and despite trying to avoid kicking these 2 dogs that run in front of me sometimes, I've been lowering my time already.

I'm crossing my fingers on this one EMS place I went to today. They like what I had on paper, but they have to see what positions are available. They were a little worried at my inexperience since they said they handle a load of calls in their area, and I would have to know my sh!t to keep up. Even if I start out a few days a week, I could move into full-time later.

Started to study for the MCAT again for the April test. Crystal's also taking that one so, thanks to her coworkers, she's been pressured to start now which has motivated me to keep pace with her. While I'm not looking forward to the organic chemistry and that physics is still a whore, I'm slightly excited to be studying again. It relieves some of the guilt from all the TV I indulge in.

Headed to College Station again this weekend, and for a game!

anywhere in the River Oaks area is good. Try Taco Milagro for a cool patio effect on the corner of Kirby and Westheimer.

I wish you well with the EMS job! And congrats on having that external motivation to both study up and to start running! Its hard to be motivated...ah well. We have to assume it will all be worth it in the end. =)
